Privacy Policy

Audiora is a free online tool that converts videos to MP3. We built it to need as little information about you as possible. This page explains what we process, why, and the choices you have.
The short version
- You don’t need an account, and we never ask for your name, email or payment details.
- Files you upload are deleted as soon as the conversion finishes.
- We don’t keep copies of the MP3s we create.
- We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default.
- We don’t sell your data and we don’t show ads.
Information we process
Links you paste. When you paste a video link, our server uses it to look up the video and convert its audio. We don’t keep a history of the links you convert.
Files you upload. An uploaded file is saved to a temporary location on our server only while it’s being converted, and deleted immediately afterwards — whether the conversion succeeds or not.
Audio fetched from video sites. To make changing the quality or trimming fast, the audio we fetch for a video is kept on our server for up to 30 minutes, then deleted automatically. It isn’t linked to you.
Your IP address. It’s used briefly, in memory, to limit how many conversions can be started from one address in a short time. This keeps the service fast and protects it from abuse.
Technical logs. Like any website, our server keeps short-lived technical logs (for example, error messages) to keep the service running and secure.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which features are used — for example, how many videos are converted, at which quality, and which errors happen. This helps us fix problems and improve the site. Google Analytics does not log or store full IP addresses.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics runs in a consent-based mode with analytics cookies turned off by default. Google may still receive anonymous, cookieless signals that don’t identify you.
Elsewhere, Google Analytics may set cookies (such as _ga) to tell visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We don’t use advertising cookies, and Audiora works fully without any cookies.
Who else is involved
- Hosting: our servers are run by OVHcloud in the United Kingdom.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, provided by Google. See Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Video platforms: when you convert a link, our server requests that video from the platform (for example YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or Facebook). The request comes from our server, not from your device.
How long we keep data
- Uploaded files: until the conversion finishes (usually seconds).
- Fetched source audio: up to 30 minutes.
- Converted MP3s: not kept.
- IP addresses for rate limiting: up to 10 minutes, in memory only.
- Google Analytics data: according to the retention setting in our Google Analytics account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, or to object to how it’s used. Because Audiora doesn’t use accounts, we usually hold no data that can identify you. If you have a question or request, email us and we’ll help.
Children
Audiora is not aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
